Pupil Success

I am proud that a number of my former pupils have gone on to study at a range of vocational training institutions: RADA, Guildhall, Brit, London Contemporary and Laines. They are now successful professional actors, singers, dancers and stage managers in their own right. Some have gone on to perform lead roles on Broadway, in the West-End, at the RSC, at Regent's Park and in film and TV.

GCSE A-Level Exam Success A Star Drama Tuition

Get the required exam grades with my help

I have been teaching drama for 25 years at GCSE and A-Level with a proven track record of outstanding results. After six years at the ArtsEd drama school in Chiswick, I spent a further 15 years at the highly ambitious and educationally driven Ibstock Place School in Roehampton. I still teach part-time, so my exam knowledge is current.

My experience as an examiner helps me prepare students

As a GCSE examiner I gained a real insight into how modules are marked and how students should prepare. As a Subject Leader, I have been responsible for the internal assessment for GCSE and A-Level.  I am able to use my understanding of how work is assessed and how grade boundaries are applied to help students attain their best grade.

Making the right impact at auditions

I have directed and produced countless musicals and plays, both small and large-scale; from the classical theatre of Euripides and Shakespeare, to contemporary masterpieces by Ayckbourn and Pinter.  I can help select and coach audition monologues

My real-world career in the professional theatre…

My teaching work is underpinned and informed by my professional career as an actor and stage manager. I graduated in 1986 with a BA (Hons) degree in Performing Arts.  Subsequent work included The Gingerbread Man, Annie, Iolanthe, The Yeomen of the Guard, The Gondoliers, Evita (Dir, Harold Prince) and The Rocky Horror Show. As a session singer, I worked in the recording studio and on BBC radio.

I am also an ambassador for the John Thaw Foundation, a charity that sponsors disadvantaged and underprivileged young people through a variety of arts initiatives.
